Today, 42% of the world still has no access to the Gospel. And God has uniquely prepared the emerging generation to step into this gap.

RoleCall exists to identify, equip, support, and mobilize the next generation for effective, creative, and sustainable engagement among the unreached and marginalized.
 

Why the Next Generation Matters
 

  • Diverse: They represent the most ethnically diverse generation in history.

  • Globally connected: A shared digital culture gives them common ground with people everywhere.

  • Relationally driven: They move easily across cultural, class, racial, and generational boundaries.

  • Entrepreneurial and co‑vocational: They are innovators who can launch and adapt in any context.
     

As global mission senders, we have a strategic opportunity to pivot – to meet their needs, steward their gifts, and equip them for long-term cross-cultural impact. Through our Cross-Cultural Apprenticeship, Advance Team, and Pilgrimage, RoleCall provides hands-on experience, deep discipleship, rigorous study, and space for innovation, all supported by mentoring and pastoral care as they discern their place in God’s global mission.

GOALS

Our aim is to create a clear next step for emerging Cross-Cultural Workers as they prepare for effective disciple-making among unreached and marginalized peoples.

  • Provide an accessible platform for those exploring a call to cross-cultural mission.

  • Surround participants with holistic support: peer cohorts, coaching from experienced workers, field-based mentoring, mental health care through counseling partners, and sending-church support through a Barnabas Team.

  • Cultivate a biblical understanding of God’s mission while serving alongside seasoned workers and local leaders.

  • Equip participants to engage their vocation, whatever it may be, as part of God’s mission to reach those who do not yet know Him, with special attention to places without Gospel access.

  • Help them discover their gifts, skills, and aptitudes and how these can contribute to God’s global work.

  • Practice a conspicuously spiritual lifestyle that becomes a lifelong pattern, and guide them in developing a ministry plan for what comes next.

PROGRAMS

1. Nine-Month Field Cross-Cultural Formation Experience

A structured, immersive program for those exploring long-term mission. Participants gain hands-on experience, spiritual formation, vocational clarity, and a strategic pathway toward sustained engagement.


Includes:

  • Summer pre-gathering studies and preparation

  • In-person training before field placement

  • Nine-month cross-cultural field placement with guided coursework, cohort gatherings, coaching, field mentoring, and ongoing mental health support

  • In-person debrief and re-entry process with next-step vision planning

2. Two-Week Cross-Cultural Formation Experience – Summer 2027

A guided, reflective journey along the El Camino de Santiago in Spain for those discerning deeper steps into cross-cultural mission.
 

Participants engage in:

  • Spiritual reflection and guided discernment

  • Exposure to global mission contexts

  • Mentored processing of calling and vocation

  • Community-based learning
