About the Blessing of the Twelve Connection Club
The club was formed to encourage communication, prayer and support among partnering churches with like minded missions focus.
Welcome
Strategy Coordinator Training in Abuja, Nigeria: July 2004
In July of 2004, AFM-USA and AFM-Nigeria sponsored a Strategy Coordinator training conference in Abuja, Nigeria. The result of this conference was the appointment of twelve Nigerian pastors for work among unreached peoples in Africa. We are calling this mission project the Blessing of the Twelve.
The vision of AFM-Nigeria and AFM-USA is that American congregations would partner with the work of the Nigerian missionaries by "adopting" a missionary and his target people group. Partnering American congregations would be invited to pray regularly for their people group and their missionary, get to know their people group through research, build a personal relationship with their missionary, and support his work with $2,000 a year.
A special dinner event was held in Pittsburgh in November of 2005 at the "A Hope and a Future Conference," to introduce the concept and partnering opportunities to churches and individuals. The response was truly rewarding. Of the twelve missionaries and their people groups, eight have been adopted by partnering churches
These partnerings lead to the formation of the "BTCC" or "Blessing of the Twelve Connection Club." The club was formed to encourage communication, prayer and support among partnering churches with like minded missions focus.
A special email address has been established in Nigeria to promote direct communication between the sponsoring church and their missionary via Bishop N. Nathan Inyom, Coordinator and Chairman of the AFM-Nigeria Advisory Board. Additionally, the Bishop has requested periodic reports from the various diocesan missionaries working with these people groups.
The following is a list of the unreached people groups and their geographical location, included in the Blessing of the Twelve project.
