Drug Addiction to Freedom for the Whole Family
From July 2009
This is about a woman around 40 years of age. Her oldest son, was about 20 years of age and addicted to drugs and slowly destroying himself and the family. Draining the income and creating relational disruption. This woman was beside herself. She went to the local Hinayana Buddhist Temple, but they did offer much help, although she did what she was suppose to, but things got worse. In her desperation, she went to a Church that was nearby where she lived. They told her, "We will pray for you and the family." They also unconditionally accepted her. She began praying and regularly attending the Church and taking in its teachings.
Slowly, changes began to occur. The changes began in her and then throughout her family. The son began recognizing that he needed help with his addiction and began praying to God himself. Eventually, changes began and he started to attend Church and its various meetings of Prayer and Bible Study until he was no longer addicted to drugs!!
The family saw these changes in the mother and the oldest son and decided that there is something in this 'Jesus' thing and decided to inquire themselves. They began attending Church and it various Prayer and Bible Studies and also believed. Now, the whole family are believers!
